SEASON 2
Inspired by Iemanjá. An Afro/Brazilian goddess of the sea. Considered the mother os all life forms, she's extremely powerful, loving and protective.
Her symbol is water. In Brazil, Iemanja is considered the ocean’s spirit. Every drop of saltwater bears Her imprint and calls us back to Iemanja, our ancient mother and home. As a water elemental, Iemanja gives Her followers vision, inspiration and the ability to flow smoothly through life’s torrential times.
We decided to use a pregnant model to shoot and represent Iemanjá divine presence.
Once again, all images shot by the talented Clau Steinert on 35mm film in Rio de Janeiro.
